Guitar legend Eric Clapton took a salary of nearly £4million in the last financial year, according to accounts filed with Companies House.
The 66-year-old, famous for tracks such as Layla and Wonderful Tonight, runs his affairs through the business Marshbrook.
Revenues for the company were up nearly £2million to £12million, thanks to an increase in his touring revenues, according to a report in the London Evening Standard.
His year-long tour in 2011 took included a 12-night run at the Royal Albert Hall and performances across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Brazil, Japan, Korea and Australia.
But poor trading at his yacht management business - he leases out his luxury boat – meant Marshbrook made a loss of £924,225 before tax. The company also paid a foreign tax bill of £482,913.

The salary for 'Slowhand' was £3.98million for the year ending March 31, slightly up on the £3.92million of a year before.
However, he did not pay himself a dividend, unlike in the previous year when there was a £600,000 payout. It's not the first year that the boat business has weighed down the company's finances.
Marshbrook posted a £547,490 loss in 2009, despite sales quadrupling from £4million to £16million following a successful U.S. tour.
But in 2009 there was insufficient demand for his 47 metre 6-berthed yacht Va Bene, which features six bedrooms, jacuzzi, weights room and crew of 13, and was priced then at a cool £179,000 a week for rental.
The yacht that year contributed a £3million loss but Clapton consoled himself with a leap in wages from £1.5million to £11.7million.
The Sunday Times Rich List estimates the former Yardbirds and Cream guitarist's wealth at £140million, ranking him 17th among Britain's music millionaires.
That compares with £115million for Phil Collins in 19th and £430million for Sir Paul McCartney in fourth.
