Nadine Coyle is set to star in Celebrity Big Brother to build up her ailing bank balance and rejuvenate her public image.
The Derry singer, 26, whose LA bar owes almost £100,000 in taxes in the U.S., has agreed to spend four weeks in the Big Brother house for £500,000.
Nadine has already met bosses at British broadcaster Channel Five and agreed a fee to appear on the station's summer show.
Her fee of £500,000 is the second highest amount paid out by Channel 5, twins Jedward earned £1million for their appearance last year.
An insider said: 'This money will allow Nadine to clear all her debts in America and start the Girls Aloud tour with a clean slate. Initially, when she was approached by the station to take part, she turned it down flat.
'But when she met TV executives in London last week and saw how much was on the table she eventually agreed. They simply made her an offer she couldn't refuse.'
Totally loaded: Jedward picked up a cool £1million for their appearance on CBBNadine, who has struggled to make her solo career a success, will be one of 12 stars to enter the Big Brother house on August 15.So far former Arsenal footballer Freddie Ljungberg has signed up.
Camp comedian Julian Clary and Coronation Street legend Julie Goodyear are in negotiations. Producers are also lining up three big U.S. names for the house.
Flamboyant Brian Dowling is back as the host of the show.

The insider said: 'Nadine is confident that the public will warm to the real her, which is a warm, funny but confident woman.
'Cheryl [Cole] is not the only member of the band that can command big TV show appearance fees.'
Nadine hopes that she will be able to resurrect her image by appearing on Celebrity Big Brother. 'This will make or break her', said the insider.
