Few experiences as a fan are as enjoyable as seeing your team pick up trophies, and the latest feature in our Golden Years series shows trophies being shown off at all levels of the game. From league titles to the FA Cup, success in Europe to international glory.

Some of the celebrations are on the pitch, some in the dressing room and some on parades long after the success has been achieved.

Feel free to comment and share your memories with us at the bottom of this article, and be sure to join us again next Wednesday for another reminder of football's memorable past.

The summer of 1966 will always be seen as a truly golden one for England fans, with a 4-2 win over West Germany in the World Cup final at Wembley an iconic moment in the history of the game. Here, England's captain Bobby Moore reaches to take the famous trophy from goalkeeper Gordon Banks. Roger Hunt and Martin Peters are also at the front of this picture. If England reach next year's Brazil World Cup, you will be hearing about 48 years of hurt since this famous day

There's an unmistakeable romance about this picture, with Wolves captain Billy Wright chaired round the pitch after Wanderers had beaten Leicester 3-1 in the 1949 FA Cup final. Two goals from Jesse Pye and one from Sammy Smyth gave Wolves victory. Wright is one of those genuine one-club greats, playing for Wolves between 1939 and 1959, helping the famous Midlands clubs to three title wins in the 1950s. He also made 105 appearances for England

When it comes to iconic matches in football, there's a strong argument for Brazil's clash with Italy in the 1970 World Cup final topping the lot. Aberdeen captain Alex McLeish proudly holds aloft the European Cup winners Cup on a parade through the city in 1983, following their famous triumph over Real Madrid in Gothenburg. Sunderland's players are among a rather weary looking, smartly dressed crowd, in this 1937 picture. The FA Cup is being proudly shown off after Sunderland's 3-1 win over Preston at Wembley, courtesy of goals from Bobby Gurney, Raich Carter and Eddie Burbanks. The club have won two FA Cups in their history, the other being in 1973, when they were in Division Two and famously upset Leeds in the final

Tottenham pair Terry Dyson and Jimmy Greaves show off the European Cup Winners Cup upon their return to England, after beating Atletico Madrid 5-1 in the final in Rotterdam. Both Dyson and Greaves scored two goals in a comprehensive win for the Londoners. It was a truly golden period for Spurs, their European success following a league title in 1961, and successive FA Cup wins in 1961 and 1962

If the Brazil of 1970 provided the world with a truly iconic international side, Real Madrid did the same in the club arena a decade earlier. Here, the Real players parade the European Cup around Hampden Park after their glorious 7-3 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. It was a fifth European Cup in succession for the Spanish giants, who have now won the competition nine times in their history

Wimbledon manager Bobby Gould and his assistant Don Howe proudly lift the FA Cup during celebrations following their memorable 1988 win over Liverpool at Wembley. The win, which came just 11 years after Wimbledon left the non-league ranks, was in many people's minds again last weekend, with Wigan's win over Manchester City at Wembley widely considered to be the biggest shock in the final since Wimbledon's heroics of 25 years ago

Of all the magical World Cups, the one staged in Argentina in 1978 must rank very highly. The host nation claimed a wonderful triumph, beating the Netherlands 3-1 in the final in Buenos Aires. Aston Villa captain Howard Spencer with the FA Cup after the 1905 final at Crystal Palace, a game Villa won 2-0 against Newcastle, courtesy of two goals from Harry Hampton. Nottingham Forest captain John McGovern and goalkeeper Peter Shilton show delighted supporters the European Cup at East Midlands Airport after Forest's 1-0 win over Hamburg in the 1980 final at Madrid's legendary Bernabeu.
