They've got money in the bank! Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington pose with stacks of cash for action film
Cancun is normally the location of
some serious Spring Break partying, but on Saturday it held a much more
civilized celebration.
Instead of boozed up college students it was two action movie legends doing the celebrating, with Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington promoting their combined efforts in a new film.
The blockbuster hard men will star in new crime film 2 Guns and to mark a no doubt profitable union, the pair posed up with what they expect to make - money.
The two actors laughed their way through the photocall that was unusually held in Mexico on Saturday.
Mark and Denzel sat on the back of a car stuffed with money pretending that the large stacks were real.
Making sure to show off his buff physique, Mark wore a tight blue polo shirt - that strained over his biceps - with blue jeans.
Co-star Denzel was content to let the younger actor put on a gun show, wearing a loose T-shirt and lighter blue jeans.
Both men seemed hesitant to take off their sunglasses, no doubt keeping with their roles as would-be bank robbers and undercover agents.
Out in August, Denzel stars as
Bobby Trench and Mark as Marcus 'Stig' Stigman, who find themselves
shooting and fighting their way to clearing their names after having
been set up by the mob.
The movie is based on a graphic novel and is directed Baltasar Kormákur, who was behind thriller Contraband, also starring Mark.
The 41-year-old has been busy also promoting a second film Pain And Gain.
The actor has to play a body
builder and besides having to bulk up his already muscular body, the
star also had to endure spray tans - his least favourite part of
filming.
He told : 'The weirdest thing and the most uncomfortable thing I've done was for this movie, having to get a spray tan every week.
'I don't like the sun, it's not good for me, but (the film's director) Michael (Bay) insisted I be as tan as possible. So, he'd make me get a spray tan.
'I'd do it on my balcony of my hotel room, which was on the 17th floor. You would think you'd be free from all the cameras and paparazzi, and there I was getting photographed in my underwear getting a spray tan. Not a good look.'
