But in the case of Kellan Lutz, 28, and his girlfriend Sharni Vinson, 29, it seems the couple are happy to split the domineering role between each other.

Keeping his blond locks hidden under a baseball cap, Lutz teamed his bottoms with distressed boots, a grey T-shirt and a cardigan.
Vinson, who has appeared in films such as Step Up 3D and Blue Crush 2, finished her casual look with an oxblood leather jacket, knee-high black Converse and a red crop top over a white T-shirt.
As Kellan and Sharni travelled up the escalator to make their way to their terminal for their flight to Dallas, they cut a united figure as they turned back to smile at photographers.
The couple, who started dating in 2011, will be attending the 2013 Dallas International Film Festival where Kellan is set to promote his latest film Java Heat.

Lutz will play the Greek demigod in the Nu Image and Millennium’s motion picture which is set to start production in May.
With a reported budget of $70million, Harlin, who is the master director behind Deep Blue Sea and Die Hard 2, will shoot most of the movie in Bulgaria.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about his decision to cast Lutz as the lead, Renny said: 'He's not afraid to explore the strengths and vulnerabilities of the character, and he impressed me with his passion and heart.
'It takes more than a good physique to portray the most legendary, mythological personality in history — and Kellan has exactly that, personality.'
