Margaret Thatcher 'wanted to teach Sarah Palin to speak proper English' and help the Mama Grizzly improve her 'raw political talent'
Though former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher stayed out of the public eye for much of her final years, but that doesn't mean that she didn't stay involved in current affairs.
Republican pundit Ann Coulter revealed today that the 'Iron Lady' wanted to help teach Sarah Palin how to properly speak English because she was reportedly aghast at how her like-minded American politician was portraying herself.
'One thing that I know, because I know people who know her, is when Sarah Palin first burst on the scene, she wanted to have a meeting with Palin, because she saw raw political talent, but wanted to teach Sarah Palin to do what she did,' Coulter said on a radio show on Monday.

Thatcher 'wanted to teach Palin to speak proper English'
'I just know it from friends of hers — to teach (Palin) to speak proper English.'
Coulter tried not to come down too hard on fellow Fox News regular Palin, adding that her unidentified friends who were close with Thatcher before her death said that the former Prime Minister's concern came out of her admiration for the former governor of Alaska.
Coulter said that she thought the reason for Mrs Thatcher's interest must have been solidarity with Palin, saying that both she and Thatcher recognized Palin's potential.
'What, I think, a lot of us saw, that Sarah Palin did have raw political talent,' Coulter said during an interview for Geraldo Rivera's radio show.

'And if she had been willing to put her nose to the grindstone and pursue improving herself, speaking proper English, reading stuff, knowing lots of things, she could have been great. I mean, she’s a fine person, but that isn’t what she’s pursuing.'
That admiration for Palin didn't stop Coulter from exposing a frosty relationship between the 'Iron Lady' and the self-appointed 'Mama Grizzly'.
Coulter told how one time that Palin was in London promoting a reality television show or various project, she publicly said that she 'was dropping by to see Lady Thatcher'.
Keeping an eye out: Though Baroness Thatcher stayed out of public life in her final years, that didn't mean that she wasn't paying attention to other rising conservative stars like Sarah Palin
'And Lady Thatcher put out the word that she would not be available,' Coulter said.
Mrs Thatcher was well-liked across the pond, as many American politicians have reflected on their admiration of the now-deceased British leader.
Former First Lady Nancy Reagan told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell today that it wasn't just her husband that got along well with Mrs Thatcher, but she did as well.
'We had a very special relationship,' Mrs Reagan said via phone.
'I think people thought she and I didn't have a relationship. Nothing could be farther from the truth. And of course I loved it that she and Ronnie were as close as they were.'
