It's so childish': Anne Frank's step-sister says the World War II diarist 'would have been a fan' of Justin Bieber
The step-sister of Anne Frank insists that the famous diarist would have been a fan of Justin Bieber.
Eva Schloss MBE - whose mother Fritzi married Anne's father Otto Frank in 1953 - defended the pop star's written comment that he hoped Anne 'would have been a Belieber.'
In response, Eva, 83, said: 'It's so childish. She probably would have been a fan. Why not?'

'They make a lot of fuss about everything that is connected with Anne Frank,' Eva told
Bieber visited Anne Frank's House in Amsterdam during his European tour, and was criticised for a message he left in the museum's guestbook.

Eva's comments come as she releases her new biography, After Auschwitz, which describes the good and bad influence of Anne's legacy since her death in Bergen-Belsen concentration camp at the age of 15.
And while London resident Schloss, the pop star and the museum saw his message as an inoffensive remark, many across the world took it as an insult to the memory of the young World War II writer.

Anne Frank Trust UK, said: 'This is a place where Anne spent two years
hiding in claustrophobic conditions, where she put down her dreams of
making the world a better place.'Now 70 years later a pop singer is trying to hijack this for his own self-aggrandisement.
'It says a lot about what his ego is turning into.'
Her thoughts were echoed across social media, and marked yet another issue to taint Justin's European tour.

The post which quickly spread to Twitter and other social networks, where Bieber came under further fire.
One person even tweeted: 'When life gets done with Justin Bieber, I have a feeling it isn't going to be pretty.'
Another wrote in regards to Justin's note in the guestbook: 'I weep for humanity.'
This backlash is yet another issue to mar Justin's European tour, who also had one of his Oman performances cancelled, as Muslim leaders declared his routine 'too sexy'.
A source in the country told The Daily Star: 'People didn’t want him coming to Oman.
'He was called a reprobate and words were used like debauchery and Haraam, which in Islam means a sinful act that displeases God.'
Justin's tour promoters said in a statement: 'Alive Entertainment regrets to announce that the Justin Bieber in Oman show will no longer take place.'
'Due to overwhelming regional demand, a second show in Dubai has been announced for May 5,' it continued.
