The
Skinnygirl maven spilled details of her split in a conversation with
Good Day New York anchor Greg Kelly on Thursday morning.
The former Real Housewives of New York star announced her separation from husband Jason Hoppy in December after nearly three years of marriage.
She described the dissolution of their union as 'the most difficult thing you could ever go through in your entire life.'
Frankel admits she never
expected to experience so much pain in the aftermath of the couple's
separation, telling Kelly of divorce, 'I never heard how excruciating it
is.'
The native New Yorker now considers divorce to be a 'brutal, unnatural situation.'
The reality star's breakup with Hoppy is her second failed marriage.
Her first union -- to entertainment mogul Peter Sussman -- ended in 1997 after one year.
Frankel's daughter Bryn accompanied her mother to the show's filming.
Following the taping, the pair exited the studio together.
Dressed down in dark wash jeans, a cream knit top and brown heeled boots, Frankel carried the 2-year-old, who appeared sleepy while hiding behind a polka-dotted blanket.
The Bethenny Ever After headliner earlier called her daughter 'amazing,' describing the benefits she's gleaned from parenthood: 'Kids make you do things you'd never do. They bring out the best in you.'
The new season of her chat show Bethenny airs later this year.
