The 27-year-old donned a baseball T-shirt as she threw the ceremonial first pitch at the start of the Baltimore Orioles and Minnesota Twins game at Oriole Park in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Call Me Maybe singer looked giddy with excitement as she playfully threw the ball in the air while chatting with an usher prior to the game at Camden Park.

Carly showed off her slender figure in skinny blue jeans paired with an Orioles T-shirt that she tied in a knot at her waist.

The Canadian star kept it sporty with simple Adidas trainers and shielded her eyes from the sun's glare with black shades.

Carly wore her dark long hair in a side braid and sported blue polish on her fingernails.

When it came time to pitch, Carly looked like an expert as she stepped her foot forward while throwing the ball.

She was clearly excited to be at the event, although she did admit to feeling short at 5ft 2in compared to the hulking baseball players.

Carly is enjoying what she has called 'the busiest year of [her] life' as she continues to enjoy massive career success as well as a new relationship.

The star is currently dating Matthew Koma, whom she met while working on her second single The Kiss, which he co-produced.

Speaking about their meeting, she told Seventeen Magazine: The three of us kind of [wrote] the whole [song] over phone calls and e-mails and text messages, believe it or not... but that's how it happened!' she said.

'And then [Matt] came to record the vocal and I was like, "Oh... Hello!"'
