And during Friday's segment of The Talk the chatty star decided to lighten up the mood by twirling her weaves in the air.
The hilarious two minutes of hair-spinning fun began when Kristin started talking to her co-hosts about the fad of using real hair extensions to pump up the volume.
'White girls are just getting on the hair train, it is the best,' Kristin began.
'For those of you who don't know, it's not mine,' she said while giving her hair a tug. 'It's from someone named Svetlana from Russia.
'This would be my ponytail,' the Broadway star-turned-television personality joked while pulling up a thin strand.
''I have such bad hair. I have a couple pieces in today. You should know this takes a village... long hair, short hair.'
When Julie removed her hair clips and twirled them in the air high above her head, Kristin copied her.
Kristin and Julie did a high five while the audience laughed and applauded.
Donny grabbed his suavely coiffed dark hair and gave it a pull, but his is real.
Everyone looked at Sheryl Underwood, who was emphatically shaking her head 'No.'
'Do it!' Julie shouted.
Finally they convinced Sheryl to pull off her wig, revealing a mat of tiny greying braids underneath, which earned her a big kiss from Donny.
