Get Back! Sir Paul and Ronnie Wood are mobbed

As any aspiring frontman will tell you, it’s important to get your backing band right.
James McCartney had the perfect pair to make him shine as he performed songs from his upcoming debut album this week.
The 35-year-old was joined on stage by his Beatle father Paul McCartney and Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood.

Sir Paul, 70, watched proudly from the wings before accompanying his son on the piano, while 65-year-old Wood played guitar.
The trio played songs from James’s new album, Me, ahead of a 47-date US tour later this year.

Perhaps predictably, it was the two veterans who stole the limelight.

Both were mobbed by fans as they left the show at the Ambassadors Theatre in London.
At one point Paul looked slightly scared as he couldn't find his car due to all the commotion - also losing his wife Nancy Shevell in the crowds.
But the pair eventually managed to find each other, looking relieved as they settled back in their car.
Wood’s wife Sally Humphreys, 34, who is a theatre producer, had put together the event.
Also in attendance was James’s sister, fashion designer Stella McCartney.

Last year James revealed he was considering forming a group featuring the offspring of the Fab Four, including John Lennon’s youngest son Sean, 37, George Harrison’s only son, Dhani, 34, and Ringo Starr’s 45-year-old son Jason.
