It looks like history is repeating itself for actor Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani.
The Human Traffic star's eldest daughter is set to make her big screen debut alongside her father in the upcoming action thriller Vendetta.
The 17-year-old has a small, but pivotal role in the film - which comes after her father made his acting debut in an episode of Prime Suspect when he was around the same age.
Producer Jonathan Sothcott had the idea to cast Dani in the role when the original actress dropped out.
After obtaining permission from her mother and Danny's partner Joanne Mas, Dani arrived on location in East London to begin filming.
Jonathan explained: 'Dani had first been mentioned to me by her agent last year and it took me a while to put two and two together as I hadn't seen her in a few years.
'It really saved our bacon to be honest as it was one of the most dramatic scenes in the film and we were really up against the clock.
'Dani was absolutely fantastic, she really rose to the occasion and this wasn't some easy bit part - it was heavy, dramatic stuff being attacked and robbed by a gang of feral youths. I think she has a great career ahead of her as an actress.'
However, when it came to filming her scenes, her own father Danny kept out of the way so he wouldn't distract her.
Vendetta also stars Vincent Regan (Clash of the Titans), Bruce Payne (Passenger 57), Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones), Josef Altin (Game of Thrones), Nick Nevern (The Sweeney), Emma Samms and Tamaryn Payne. It is written and directed by Stephen Reynolds.
Danny and Joanne were high school sweethearts who were 19 when they welcomed Dani.
However, they split up for several years, before reuniting around 10 years ago, with Joanne giving birth to younger daughter Sunnie in 2007.
